Sports Centre Manager

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead a busy, multi-facility sports centre operation in Derbyshire. This role requires a strong operational leader who can balance commercial performance with exceptional customer service, while motivating and developing a large and diverse team.
You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of facilities, staff, programming and commercial activity, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations while delivering an outstanding experience for all users.
This is a highly visible leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys being present on the floor, solving problems in real time, and setting high standards through example.
The Role
You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of all sports facilities, leading a large and diverse team and ensuring an excellent experience for all users.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full operational management of sports and leisure facilities
* Leading, developing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams
* Ensuring full Health & Safety compliance across all sites
* Driving commercial performance and maximising facility usage
* Managing budgets, staffing and service standards
* Building strong relationships with clubs, partners and customers
About You
You will be:
* An experienced leisure or sports operations manager (minimum 3 years)
* A confident, hands-on leader who thrives in busy environments
* Strong in people management and team development
* Commercially minded with budget management experience
* Knowledgeable in health and safety compliance
* Flexible to work shifts, weekends and bank holidays
If you have Pool management qualification then this is a massive bonus!
