We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Children's Nurses to join our friendly team on a BANK basis in Beeston. Job Description:
Supporting a 4 year old little girl who has Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and episodes of Dystonia. The client has a Gastrostomy and feeds and medication are administered via this. The client also has suctioning and nebulisers. The client is unable to mobilise independently so Moving and handling and repositioning is needed. Support with personal care and all aspects of daily living is also required.
· Daily tasks that you will be expected to achieve are – extensive airway management including deep suction and repositioning to assist opening her airway.
· Management of her Dystonia episodes and escalation plan.
· Monitoring her respiratory effort and acting upon its presentation.
· Oxygen implementation for emergency use and when she is unwell.
· Potential need for a nasal pharyngeal airway to be inserted as an emergency measure.
· Peg feeding – blended diet which is prepared by her family.
· Personal care and oral care routines.
· Physiotherapy – stretches/ chest physio which she has during the shift.
· Use of equipment such as standing frame and specialist chairs.
· Administration of medications via her Peg
· Occasional holiday cover where the family go away and carers are expected to go with them to assist in her health needs.
Hours: NIGHTS /DAYS 8/12 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Support with mobility, repositioning and safe transfers.
Help with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping, and light housekeeping.
Build positive relationships with service users, encouraging their independence and dignity. Also providing emotional support and companionship.
Monitor and report on changes in health and well-being to senior staff.
What We're Looking For:
A compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others.
At least 2 years of working with children with complex airways – paediatric nurse qualification.
PICU & Community care experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
A full Enhanced DBS check will be required for all successful candidates.
