This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding Cardiology team as a Locum Consultant Cardiologist at Yeovil District Hospital, part of Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be based at Yeovil, contributing to general cardiology inpatient and outpatient care, with the opportunity to develop subspecialty interests aligned with service needs. The role includes ward rounds, outpatient clinics, MDT participation, and teaching of junior medical staff.

Main duties of the job
Provide general cardiology inpatient and outpatient care
Conduct ward rounds and outpatient clinics
Participate in MDTs and subspecialty clinics (depending on experience)

Engage in clinical governance and departmental administration
No acute medical on‑call or weekend cover required

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with licence to practise
* CCT in Cardiology (or within 6 months of obtaining)
Experience
* Broad experience in general cardiology
* Excellent communication and team‑working skills
* Subspecialty interest aligned with service needs
* Experience in teaching and clinical supervision
* Involvement in research or service development
