An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly team. We are a well organised practice in Rastrick, Brighouse, who strive to consistently provide high quality care to all our patients. Our growing list size currently stands at over 5200 patients. We offer excellent appointment access without telephone triage and our patient feedback is consistently positive.
The practice is a member of West Yorkshire ICB, Pennine GP Alliance, and the Lower Valley Primary Care Network.
The hours are 16hrs p/w - Days / times to be agreed with the successful applicant.
Main duties of the job
Venepuncture, new patient health checks, baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature and pulse rate, ECG monitoring, wound care, dressings, ear irrigation, and support the Practice Nurse with the management of chronic diseases.

The practice team consists of 1 GP principal, 3 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 1 Practice Nurse and 1 HCA and an efficient reception / administration team. The Practice is led by 2 part‑time Practice Managers.
Longroyde Surgery is a SystmOne Practice and also uses PATCHs to communicate with patients. We are a small, supportive team who all share the same vision regarding patient care and this is often reflected in patient feedback.
Qualifications
* Has completed the Care Certificate or equivalent qualification as detailed within CQCs GP mythbuster 57: Health Care Assistants in General Practice
* Proof of any courses or training qualifications commensurate with the post
* Experience of working in a primary care environment, chronic disease management, as a Healthcare Assistant, and knowledge of SystmOne
