Job Title: Senior Multiskilled Technician (Electrical Bias)
Location: DD10 9EB – Mobile Role Covering Sites Across the North East
Pay Rate: £25.10 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Temporary Assignment – 16 March 2026 to 25 February 2027
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Multiskilled Technician with a strong electrical bias to support facilities maintenance operations across multiple commercial sites in the North East of England.
This is a mobile position covering approximately 10 sites, with the main base located at DD10 9EB, and will require a highly competent engineer capable of managing both planned and reactive maintenance activities across a varied portfolio of buildings.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of building services systems while maintaining high standards of compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
* Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and general building services faults
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures and statutory regulations
* Support site teams with technical expertise and troubleshooting
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports
* Liaise with site managers and facilities teams regarding maintenance issues and planned works
* Assist with minor installation and upgrade projects where required
Essential Skills and Experience
* Strong electrical maintenance background within commercial or industrial facilities
* Previous experience working as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer or Senior Technician
* Ability to carry out general mechanical and building fabric maintenance tasks
* Good understanding of PPM schedules and reactive maintenance procedures
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
* Full UK driving licence (required for mobile role)
Desirable
* Recognised electrical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
* Experience working across multi-site facilities contracts
* Knowledge of building management systems or controls
