Permanent, Part time, 20 hours per week

We are looking for a motivated and organised Archives and Local Studies Assistant to join our national accredited Rotherham Archives and Local Studies service. With excellent communication and customer service skills, our Archives and Local Studies Assistant will support the search room functions to provide archive material for users of the busy archive search room at Clifton Park Museum.

With a passion for archives and an eye for detail, Our Archives and Local Studies Assistant will use their excellent ICT skills to support customer enquiries, cataloguing projects and collection research.

The Archives and Local Studies Assistant will:

* Provide a comprehensive, high quality and effective service for all customers of archives and local studies search room
* Respond effectively to customer email enquiries and requests for information.
* Support the Archivist to enable public access to the archives collections through a variety of delivery mechanisms including digital programming, events and exhibitions.
* Undertake cataloguing projects as directed by the Archivist to increase access to collections.
