Safety and quality are of the utmost importance to us. Job Role We are looking for someone who fully understands Root Cause Analysis and quality control plans. With Manufacturing experience, you will be responsible for identifying root cause and demonstrating an ability to use your own initiative to plan corrective and preventative measures. This is not a role where you should need much direction. Therefore, you are expected to champion the highest quality standards and have the confidence to raise non-conformances & Coach behaviours/process changes when quality does not meet ATL’s expectation. Main Duties
1. Work with the rest of the Quality department to ensure that all production areas’ quality control requirements are supported
2. Using hand metrology equipment to quality control parts
3. Using CMM machines to measure and report on parts
4. To produce control plans
5. To assist the with testing and process development as required
6. Produce inspection reports on items requiring First Article Inspection
7. Supporting the Inspection of parts in all departments in process and before despatch
8. Deal with the processing of Internal and Supplier rejects including the use of 5 Whys and 8D reporting where required
9. Escalating issues found to the correct party in a timely manner
10. Conduct quality and process spot checks within Engineering Workshop, Moulding & Final Assembly departments as required
11. Prepare inspection reports and collate paperwork for customer reporting as required
12. Conduct internal and supplier audits as required
13. Assist with investigation of root cause as and when required
14. Work with the rest of the Quality Control team to deliver continual improvement across the department
15. Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policy
16. Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectives
Other jobs within your capabilities may be requested from time-to-time including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil. Responsibilities & Competence
17. Experience completing 8D reports
18. Experience of BS EN reporting
19. Experience using basic and electronic metrology equipment
20. Experience completing PPAP submissions is desirable but not essential
21. Internal and external audit experience is desirable but not essential
22. Ability to read engineering drawings
23. Awareness of relevant TS/VDA standards is desirable but not essential
24. Knowledge of relevant FIA regulations & standards is desirable but not essential
25. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
26. Excellent attention to detail
Job Requirements
27. Qualification in an engineering discipline (e.g. HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ)
28. Relevant professional experience
29. Experience of ISO QMS
30. Fluent in English
31. Pass in GCSE English & Maths as a minimum
