Job Description:
The Grant Thornton Digital Audit Team provides top-tier digital products, services, and skills to enable future auditors to set industry standards for professional services, leveraging digital, data, and technology to achieve excellence in audit quality, client service, and operational efficiency.
The Digital Audit Solutions Architect will design, develop, and implement Digital Audit solutions within the organization. This role involves defining architecture, creating solution designs, and ensuring successful project delivery. The Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with Development Teams, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Open to all UK locations, with flexible working and part-time options considered.
A look into the role
As a Digital Audit Solutions Architect, you will:
* Develop and implement architectural strategies, governance, plans, and procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.
* Design and oversee all solution architecture activities, including functional, non-functional, and integration aspects.
* Work with a team of developers, providing guidance and support.
* Collaborate with Development Teams and Product Owners to coordinate solution delivery.
* Create and maintain technical documentation related to architectural activities.
* Align architectural activities with other lifecycle phases, such as requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
* Participate in daily progress meetings, presenting architectural updates and improvements.
* Manage tools development and configuration management activities.
Knowing you’re right for us:
We seek an experienced architect ready to transition from individual contributor to team leader or someone already leading architectural teams, ensuring quality across the development or product lifecycle. While not every skill is mandatory, familiarity with the following is advantageous:
* Knowledge of low-code platforms (e.g., PowerApps, Appian) and Python programming.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
* Strong understanding of architectural design techniques and best practices.
* Experience in solution planning, analysis, design, and implementation.
* Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
