Project Manager | North West / East
A well-established, multi-disciplinary building services contractor with a national footprint who design, supply, install, commission, service and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, heating, electrical and carbon-reduction systems across a wide variety of sectors — from healthcare and data centres to commercial offices and large-scale fit-outs.
Manage mechanical project delivery: HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, heating, chillers or HVAC-related electrical / mechanical services.
Develop and oversee mechanical designs (in conjunction with CAD/engineering team), ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and client specifications.
Coordinate multi-discipline project teams — mechanical engineers, HVAC installers, electrical, subcontractors — ensuring integrated delivery.
Monitor project budgets, timelines and resource allocation; Liaise with clients, main contractors and stakeholders to ensure project requirements and quality standards are met.
Ensure health & safety compliance and quality control on site.
Provide support during commissioning, handover and ongoing maintenance if required.
Strong mechanical / HVAC / building services background, with demonstrable experience in project management of mechanical/HVAC installations on commercial or industrial projects.
Experience managing projects from design through installation, commissioning and handover, ideally including large-scale HVAC / ventilation / chiller / refrigeration / heating systems.
Competence in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications and compliance standards.
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills; Strong organisational skills, ability to manage budgets and deadlines, and to adapt to varying project scopes across different sectors.
Willingness to travel to site locations across the UK.
Familiarity with sustainable / low-carbon heating or HVAC solutions (e.g. heat pumps, energy-saving ventilation, low-GWP refrigerants).
Previous experience working in a national building-services / HVAC company environment.
