We are looking for a chef to join our Dover Castle team. The role is part time and permanent, working 2 days a week for 16 hours during the summer season of April to October. This is to cover the rest days of our full time chef as we are a 7 day a week business. We also need cover for our full time chef's annual leave which may fall during the winter season.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef looking for a part time role. The hours are all daytime hours with very occasional evening work.
As a chef at Dover Castle, you will assist the full time chef in preparing home cooked food using local produce to supply our main Naafi Restaurant on site.
In this role you will prepare food to the highest standards, produce freshly made dishes using locally sourced ingredients ensuring sufficient quantities. You will work with the Food and Beverage Manager and the Chef to plan menus and recipes using our stock management system. You will comply with all health and safety legislation including food safety, allergen labelling and HACCAP.
To be considered as a chef, you will need to be qualified to at least Level 2 Food Hygiene standard and to a HND/NVQ level in Food Preperation and Cookery (or equivalant)
