Service Vehicle Technician Required
1. Commercial Fleet Company Location: Erith, Kent
2. Basic Salary: Circa £36,000 per annum + Overtime
3. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (No Weekends!)
Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking for a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Commercial Fleet Company? Our client a national fleet company in Erith, Kent, is currently seeking a skilled and qualified Service Vehicle Technician to join their growing team.
The Role As a Service Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of specialist commercial vehicles. This role offers variety, job security, and the chance to work in a well-equipped, modern workshop with a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities as a Vehicle Technician:
4. Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles
5. Conducting preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability
6. Performing MOT preparation, inspections, and testing where required
7. Working efficiently to ensure minimal vehicle downtime
8. Using diagnostic tools to identify and rectify faults
9. Completing job cards and relevant paperwork accurately
The Ideal Vehicle Technician Candidate:
10. Qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair)
11. Experience working on Commercial Vehicles preferred but not essential – Technicians with passenger car experience will be considered!
12. Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
14. A valid UK driving licence (HGV licence is an advantage but not required)
