Join Our Finance Team We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, strategic financial planning, internal controls, and compliance, to ensure financial stability and integrity within the company. This role is key to the business in leading and manage financial operations to ensure ELE’s fiscal health and alignment with its broader financial objectives and offers exposure to a wide range of finance activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the organisation's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders. Lead the budgeting process and financial forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making. Establish and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and accounting standards, as well as reporting requirements. Analyse financial data to provide insights, identify trends, and support strategic financial decisions. Assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and manage insurance and hedging activities. Oversee cash flow, treasury management, and liquidity planning to support daily operations and investments. Manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting, optimizing the organization's tax position. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Contribute to the development of financial strategies, objectives, and plans to achieve the company's financial goals. Manage accounting teams, ensuring effective performance and professional development. Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability while maintaining operational efficiency. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CFO and senior management to drive informed decision-making. Communicate financial information and insights to the CFO, executive team, and board of directors. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department. Collaborate with sales, operations, and HR to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Essential Skills & Attributes High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in accounting software Proficient in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of ethical and professional standards Knowledge of ERP Systems Qualifications & Experience GCSE Maths and English (essential). Proven experience as a senior accountant and proven experience in leadership role Degree in accounting or related field Proficiency in UK GAAP and IFRS Knowledge of finance and tax regulations, i.e., Companies Act 2006 Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, or CIMA certified).
