Purpose of the position: As Structural Fabrication Welding Engineer you will be part of the Engineering department within our Offshore Wind business line. You will support and review the welding activities in our vessels or projects. You will receive a strong training as part of your career path.
Responsibilities:
· Support a variety of projects related to our Saipem7000 vessel
· Review, approve and comment WPS and WPQR on a project level
· Deal with enquiries from yard, vessel and sub-contractors
· Cover all the aspect of the welding structure
· Review subcontractors’ tender documents and technical qualifications
· Support the tender at bid stage and then the vendors qualification
· Ensure that Welding traceability info are recorded, maintained and available in the required format for all Welding activities to demonstrate achievement of client requirements
What are we looking for?
Education: metallurgical or welding degree or similar
Experience: 3-8 years in structural or fabrication welding, possibly in offshore industry but open to onshore industries.
