You will be working on our Strategic Data Platform (Nucleus), leading the establishment of our data quality function. Your role will involve building and configuring technology solutions to identify, measure, categorize, prioritize, and resolve data quality issues across the data lifecycle, and implementing measures to proactively prevent such issues.
What’s the job
1. Lead the creation of technology solutions to identify, measure, categorize, prioritize, and investigate root causes of data quality issues.
2. Establish best practices to proactively prevent data quality issues.
3. Lead the implementation and configuration of Data Quality tools and processes, collaborating with Data Management colleagues.
4. Promote the importance of data quality management among technical and non-technical colleagues as a champion and advocate.
5. Manage relationships with source system owners and subject matter experts to secure permanent resolutions to data quality issues.
6. Design and implement Data Quality measuring systems to improve detection and highlighting of issues within Nucleus.
7. Collaborate with Data Design and Data Engineering teams to set standards for managing Data Quality issues throughout the delivery lifecycle and into production.
What you'll bring
* Experience in a lead role within a data quality function.
* Experience configuring and implementing Data Quality tools.
* Experience working in a large, multi-business unit organization.
* Strong stakeholder leadership skills.
* Strong SQL skills for data investigations and analysis, with critical thinking abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to articulate complex data concepts clearly.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to root cause analysis.
Nice to have:
* Experience with Data Catalogue tools such as Collibra.
* Understanding of business processes in retail.
* Knowledge of Data Management, Governance, and Quality best practices.
* Familiarity with improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.
