As an Electrical Maintenance Technician at Tesco, covering the Cornwall / Helston / Truro areas, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our stores remain safe, operational, and welcoming for both customers and colleagues. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment, helping to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be part of a skilled maintenance team, responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs across a wide range of systems, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and control panels. Your technical expertise will be key in diagnosing faults, carrying out safe and compliant repairs, and ensuring minimal disruption to store operations. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive mindset, strong fault-finding skills, and a commitment to electrical safety and compliance. You’ll also support general maintenance tasks as needed, but your electrical knowledge will be at the heart of your contribution. Attending local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback LI-AG2 Operational Skills: Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or improver programme or trade proficiency test / relevant trade experience Basic diagnostics: PCB/Microprocessor / HMI controlled systems /equipment Electrical Safety Circuit, - Basic Working Knowledge, fault finding and replacement. EICR Remedial Knowledge Full driving license Health & Safety awareness Communication & stakeholder management Office 365 knowledge Relevant Qualifications City & Guilds Level 3 – Electrical (Or Equivalent) Apprenticeship/Improver programme EICR Remedial works experience City & Guilds Inspection & Testing ECoPs City & Guilds 18th Edition MEWP/IPAF Licence
