<div><p>Equans is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join the Employee Services team based from Quorum Business Park, Newcastle on a permanent basis. This is a full time working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Ensure payroll and benefit processes are in line with current legislation.</li><li>Operate in line with payroll and benefit procedures and processes including:</li><li>Variable data input.</li><li>Process payroll cycle from input to BACS creation.</li><li>Absence Administration (Eg. SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP).</li><li>Statutory and voluntary deductions from pay.</li><li>Liaise with line managers and HR partners to resolve employee queries.</li><li>Tax code changes, P45, P60, RTI submissions.</li><li>Payroll and benefit reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified, validated and inline with policy and legislation.</li><li>Annual pension returns.</li><li>Input pension amendments and process auto enrolment.</li><li>Pension reconciliation and upload to providers portals.</li><li>Update benefits portal for new starters or monthly amends.</li><li>Support the administrative activity of the annual benefits window, ensuring payments and deductions are calculated and recorded in system.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>24 days annual leave (+ public holidays).</li><li>Free parking.</li><li>Life Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salary.</li><li>Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers.</li><li>Gym membership discounts.</li><li>Cycle to work scheme.</li><li>Holiday purchase scheme.</li><li>2 corporate social responsibility days per year.</li><li>Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes.</li><li>Attractive Employee Referral Rewards Scheme.</li><li>Access to our growing employee networks including WiE (Women in Equans), RISE (BAME), LGBTQI+, Working Parents, YPN (Young Persons Network) and our Disability Network.</li><li>24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Payroll software proficiency (SAP desirable).</li><li>High volume payroll experience preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of multiple pension schemes.</li><li>Knowledge of current payroll and benefit legislation.</li><li>Confidentiality and discretion.</li><li>Teamwork and collaboration.</li><li>Good communication skills.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Advanced skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages.</li><li>Knowledge of current GDPR.</li><li>Analytical and problem solving skills.</li><li>Ability to liaise with line managers, HR Operatives and external providers.</li><li>Basic DBS check – essential.</li><li>Right to work in the United Kingdom.</li></ul></div>
