Heathrow Airport We are currently recruiting for three experienced HGV Mechanic/ HGV Technician to join a growing team at Heathrow Airport. Working as a mechanic, you will be responsible for the servicing of all ground equipment airside. Working on ground service equipment, including towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and other specialist vehicles. Using your mechanical expertise, you will diagnose faults and carry out repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment on-site. HGV Mechanic Responsibilities and Duties Servicing, maintenance, and repair of GSE Equipment Complete all paperwork to a high standard. Providing a best-in-class customer experience for our business customers Comply with HS Legislation Liaise with internal customers. Assist in carrying out all vehicle mechanical and electrical PPM (Planned and Preventative Maintenance) in line with set schedules Vehicle Mechanic Package 1. Vehicle Technician Hours- 4 on 4 off 12hr day & night shifts, paying £50,547 2. Vehicle Technician working 4 on 4 off working days 06:00-18:00, paying £46,730 3. Nightshift HGV Mechanic 4 on 4 off Night shift 18:00-06:00, paying £49,635 All offering enhanced overtime rates at time & a half Vehicle Mechanic About you GSE experience (desirable) GSE or HGV or Plant mechanical knowledge 5 year checkable history in order to get an airside pass Able to pass a basic criminal record check.
