Test Engineer Permanent Full-Time Salary - Circa £45,000 DOE Location - Office based in Bicester Our client is a pioneering technology company specialising in digital safety solutions for high-risk industrial environments. They develop and manufacture advanced wireless monitoring systems that enhance operational safety and efficiency. With a strong focus on innovation, in-house R&D, and global deployment, the company supports sectors such as energy and heavy industry. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Test Engineer to support product development activities. To be successful in this role, you will need a strong engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, and excellent written communication skills. Responsibilities, but are not limited to Liaise with engineering and support teams to troubleshoot field-reported product issues Test software release candidates Write test procedures and define acceptance criteria Support the development of automated system tests Contribute to the quality management system for processes and documentation Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities Conduct factory acceptance tests for customer systems Occasional travel to third-party manufacturing and test sitesExperiences required Educated to at least HNC level in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline Proven experience in system-level testing methodologies Basic IT system administration via command-line interfaces (Windows and Linux) Ability to define test procedures and reporting requirementsDesirables skills Design and automation of system test fixtures (e.g., using scripting or PLCs) Basic electrical fault-finding using standard test equipment Test data analysis Software development (e.g., C#, Python) Shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)Package 40 Hours P/W | Bonus Schemes | Company Pension | Cycle to Work | EV Scheme | Private Dental & Medical Insurance
