We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Head of New Business
to lead the growth strategy across a group of specialist companies delivering services in compliance, planned and reactive maintenance, and retrofit works.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of bid and tender activity – from early opportunity identification, through PQQ and ITT stages, to successful contract award. You'll work closely with senior leadership to shape and implement the business development strategy, identifying high-value opportunities within local authority, social housing, and other public sector frameworks.
You will manage and develop a multi-disciplinary bid team including Estimators, Bid Coordinators, and Bid Managers, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions that reflect both commercial insight and operational capability. Strong stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally, will be critical, as will the ability to present compelling value propositions and negotiate at senior level.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of winning multi-million-pound bids, ideally in public sector or social housing sectors. You'll bring deep commercial acumen, strong P&L understanding, risk management capabilities, and excellent leadership skills. Experience with national frameworks such as NHMF, Fusion21, and similar will be a strong advantage.
