Job Role: CNC Miller Programmer
Location or Commutable from: Leicestershire, Birmingham, Daventry, and Coventry
Shift: 39 Hours P/W choice of shifts either 6am-3pm, 6:30am-3:30pm, 7am-4pm or 7:30-4:30pm
Pay Rate / Salary: £18-£19 P/H

The Company
Join a growing precision manufacturing team, specialising in aerospace and defence industries. The company is looking for a CNC Miller Programmer who is looking to develop into a Cell Lead. In this role, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines with a focus on accuracy and high-quality output. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with a strong background in CNC machining and Heidenhain controls.
The Job Role Position:
Programming (on & offline), setting, and operating machines
Interpretaon of drawings and 3D digital files
Produce prototypes / small production runs
Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
Technical support to other Cell members in programming, fixturing, and setting machines
Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the job role position will have;
Technical Leadership experience (Desirable but Non-Essential)
Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
Competence in Heidenhain controls and programming is essential
Able to prove unproven programs, safely
Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
CAM experience (Ideally EDGECAM)
Working to tight tolerances
Experience of working with a wide range of materials including, Inconel, Titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
