Established over 40 years ago and based in Eye, Suffolk, C&K Meats is renowned for its passion for service and high-quality meat. We cut, prepare, pack, and deliver award-winning pork products for local, national, and international distribution.
We are offering an opportunity to join our growing Technical Team as a Quality Systems Technologist. In this role, you will support the Technical Department in managing customer and supplier data, including audits, approval documentation, specifications, and key quality assurance information management systems.
You will also manage the quality complaints process, providing feedback to site process teams, and actively participate in technical project work.
Main Duties Will Include
1. Completing relevant data analysis and reporting to relevant departments.
2. Investigating and responding to lower-tier complaints; communicating corrective actions with the QA team to the relevant site teams.
3. Completing customer SAQs and QASs.
4. Supporting the department with second and third-party audits of the sites.
5. Conducting internal audits as assigned.
6. Attending meetings and recording/distributing minutes.
7. Assisting in maintaining relevant QMS/HMS systems.
8. Conducting traces and mass balances as assigned.
9. Driving continuous improvement at the site.
10. Undertaking any reasonable requests from the Head of Technical.
Our Ideal Candidate

3. Ability to work accurately, logically, and methodically.
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Ability to challenge and drive standards.
6. High level of technical knowledge, including HACCP.
7. Good working knowledge of UK/EU legislative requirements in food manufacturing.
8. Understanding of industry standards and customer codes of practice.
9. Internal auditing experience is essential.
10. Excellent IT and systems knowledge is essential.
11. Experience in food manufacturing is desired.
12. Understanding of BRC standards.
