Be among the first 25 applicants. We have a position for a Supplier Quality Engineer for a permanent role in Dewsbury. The successful candidate will conduct supplier audits, lead and enhance quality processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvement across the business. The role will be for a minimum of three months with the opportunity to be extended long term.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, conduct, and report supplier audits and visits and maintain audit records.
* PPAP management – track and maintain PPAP submissions, approvals, questions, and documentation; review PPAP submissions, respond to supplier/internal queries, and advise the purchasing team on PPAP levels.
* Conduct supplier visits and audits, including travel to suppliers, and maintain audit records.
* Liaise with production teams to support production quality issues.
* Develop and implement quality strategies to meet business and customer requirements.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a supplier quality engineer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* IATF Lead Auditor certification or knowledge of IATF 16949.
* Understanding of quality systems, standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
