East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) are welcoming applications from experienced EMT's on a full time basis working on the Stansted Airport contract. This post is a secondment for 1 year, however the contract is for longer. Therefore all staff will have to reapply each year to remain on the Airport Contract, This will be a competitive process.
You will be joining a workforce recognised for delivering outstanding care to our patients, where teamwork and quality is embedded into our day-to-day practice. Main duties of the job
At EEAST we expect our clinical workforce to deliver the very best care to our patients with the support of a dedicated team of clinical staff, volunteers, call handlers, dispatchers and support staff. In addition, paramedics will routinely work with other allied health professionals in partnership organisations in both hospital and community-based services to ensure timely referrals and discharge.
You will be providing medical care to members of the public and staff who work travel through Stansted Airport. The contract is a secondment for 1 year, working on a DSA as part of a crew, on a rotation with working operational shifts.
A shift on an ambulance is like no other workplace. You will operate in a wide range of environments, across both urban and rural areas managing everything from birth to end of life, chronic conditions to critical illness or injury.
Tablets are issued to all permanent clinical staff, these allow access to electronic patient care records, up to date clinical guidelines, incident management and alternative care pathway applications.
Upon successful completion of your application and pre employment checks you will be invited to attend a two week induction at one of our Education Training Centres followed by a supportive local induction at your allocated locality.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To apply you will need to be a qualified EMT. You will also be expected to provide a portfolio detailing your experience of working within the emergency ambulance service or primary healthcare setting.
Applicants are expected to have an existing full C1 licence. Emergency Response Driving Qualification, pass an airport driving assessment and medical and be able to obtain an airport pass.
This Job role will be based at Stansted airport.

10. BTEC level 3 in Ambulance Aid (or IHCD Ambulance Aid Award) or FREC level 5 in addition produce portfolio to demonstrate competencies in FREC levels 3 & 4 OR FAQ Level 4 – Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners
11. Evidence of ongoing personal development within the last 5 years
12. Full UK driving licence with Full C1 category with 2 years driving experience (maximum of 3 penalty points for minor driving offences) (Maximum of 6 penalty points for SP30 offences)
13. Emergency Response Driving Qualification
