About thejob
The Design Engineer willsupport the full lifecycle from leading engagement with new andexisting clients and supporting winning of new works to designdelivery and handover at practical completion with a target of safeby design. It will be important to ensure work is completed to timeto required quality standard and within budget. This role will alsohave scope to represent Integrum at a national level ensuring allenquires are handled in the appropriate manner and a positive imageof the company is always maintained. You will also be key inpromoting business development within the designteam.
Responsibilities:
* Activelysupport the Principal Design EngineerElectrical in the estimating tendering andplanning of new projects;
* Produce conceptualdesigns detail designs manufacturing specifications operationaldocumentation and validation evidence for electrical engineeringsolutions in relation to definedrequirements;
* Work closely with technical teamsto ensure standards & budgets aremet;
* Coordinate the production and maintenanceof electrical drawings;
* Use ComputerAidedDesign (CAD) software to deliver panel layoutscircuit diagrams Single Line Diagrams & Bill off Materials(BoM);
* Contribute toconstruction configuration baselines;
* Deliverhighquality technical reports andpresentations;
* Identify and supportopportunities for cost savings efficiency and businessimprovement;
* Prepare work schedules andallocate resources as well as supervising junior engineers andsubcontractors;
* Provide engineering support toHV projects in order to deliver exceptional engineering solutionsfor our customers and optimise efficient project delivery for thebusiness;
* Ensure all safety quality technicaland commercial requirements aremet.
What you will needto besuccessful:
* Educated todegree level in a relevant engineering discipline with ideallyChartered Engineer status;
* Have experienceworking in or with industry preferably in a multidisciplinarydesign development and production environment creating bespokesolutions using both digital and analoguetechnologies;
* Demonstrate a working knowledgeof the DNO Industry Best Practice isdesirable;
* Have the soft skills and experienceto motivate teams coach teammembers;
* Experience of design engineering onprojects in the renewable energy and/or wider transmission& distribution sectors and associated knowledge andexpertise in technical standards and engineeringsolutions;
* Ability to support in the quotationof new works using estimatingsoftware;
* Experience leading projectH&S processes and production of associated documentationincluding hazard identification designers risk assessment andmethod statements;
* Thorough understanding ofboth LV and HV design work within a contractingenvironment;
* Outstanding selfrelianceresourcefulness and initiative flexible approach and excellent timemanagement.
