We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant in Portsmouth that is looking for either long-term, short-term or part-time roles.
The suitable candidates will have experience of supporting children in school and must be able to manage behaviour and motivate students in class.
Responsibilities
* Provide assistance and supervision for children during the school day
* Assist children to understand and participate in class
* Work on a 1:1 basis with students if necessary
* Help to build confidence and motivation
* Adapt to various tasks and needs
* Live locally to / be able to travel into Winchester
* As you may be required to cover at different schools in and around the Portsmouth area, having your own transport is desirable but not essential
Requirements
* Experience of supporting children in school
* Ability to manage behaviour and motivate students in class
* To be considered for the position you must have a valid clear DBS check or be willing to submit one
