Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for: The Estates and Facilities Management Team are looking to recruit a Stores and Key Room Operator to assist with the operation of the site stores and key room. This full-time role will be responsible for receiving inbound parts and materials, serving at the counter issuing stock to our in-house maintenance teams and contractors, maintaining accurate stock levels, and dealing with day-to-day enquiries. You will also deal with key requests and the issuing of keys, visiting locations around the campus to validate information and provide a service to meet the needs of the university. Part of the role will require you to attend further training to learn how to cut keys. As part of the role, you must be willing to partake in further training to include locksmith / key cutting skills. The successful candidate will work with our Electrical, Plumbing / Heating and Building Maintenance Service Teams. We are looking for people who are team players with good communication, adaptability, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service skills. Key Requirements: Ideally you will have a background of record keeping or stores / warehouse experience Knowledge of locks and suite arrangements would be desirable. Good IT skills, particularly using databases, Excel & Outlook Must be able to plan with attention to detail. A team player while able to prioritise and work independently with minimal supervision.
