* On-Call payment of £1950 per annum 1/5

Multitask Personnel are looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer to join a the Facilities Management division with a leading building services contractor.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Install, commission, test, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems to BS 5839 standards.
* Diagnose and repair system faults quickly and efficiently.
* Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and compliance checks.
* Complete accurate service reports, certificates, and electronic logs.
* Provide technical support and guidance to clients on compliance and system operation.
* Respond to reactive call-outs and participate in the on-call rota.
* Prepare quotes for installation and repair works, detailing materials and labour.
* Ensure company vehicles are stocked, tools maintained, and health & safety protocols followed.
* Build strong relationships through professional communication and top-tier service.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician/Engineer.
* BS 5839-1 Level 3 qualification (minimum).
* FIA, BAFE, or equivalent industry-recognised certifications.
* Strong working knowledge of systems from Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Hochiki, Apollo, etc.
* Good understanding of UK fire safety regulations and British Standards.
* Competent in the use of test equipment and interpreting wiring diagrams.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and able to work independently.
Desirable
* ECS/CSCS card.
* Experience with emergency lighting and other life safety systems.ECS/CSCS card.

* CAFM system knowledge.
