Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Shift-Based Role
This role involves working a shift-based schedule on a 4-week cycle, including 12-hour shifts (2 days and 2 nights rotation). Shifts run from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Responsibilities
* Performing routine maintenance to ensure plant critical systems and equipment function optimally.
* Enhancing equipment performance and reliability through proactive maintenance and repair.
* Conducting first-line fault finding and diagnostics.
* Supporting Operations Improvement and Transformation projects.
* Working on a variety of manufacturing and utility systems to maintain high-quality standards for automotive products.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
* Proven experience in practical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
* Completion of an Electrical/Instrumentation Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3 or National Certificate in an Electrical/Instrumentation discipline.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage tasks in a busy environment.
* Familiarity with computer-based maintenance planning systems.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
* HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* Experience with PLC systems, particularly Siemens.
