As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing, testing, and validating automated warehousing systems at customer sites prior to final handover. Your role ensures that systems are fully operational, compliant, and meet performance expectations. You’ll serve as a key link between engineering teams and clients during the commissioning phase.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commission and test automated warehouse systems on-site
* Monitor system performance and functionality during start-up
* Identify, document, and communicate technical issues or irregularities
* Maintain accurate daily reports and commissioning documentation
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support customer queries
* Ensure all work adheres to safety and regulatory standards
* Provide feedback for process and system optimization
* Participate in technical training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Requirements:
* Degree or technical education in engineering, automation, mechatronics, or a related field
* Initial experience in commissioning, industrial automation, or a similar technical role
* Willingness to travel extensively in the UK
* Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
* Relevant education and first experience
