I am seeking a Rotable Asset Manager to join a leading aerospace manufacturing facility based near Heathrow Airport. Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable. This key operational role is responsible for ensuring the availability and effective lifecycle management of critical rotable and long-lead aircraft components, supporting production schedules and on-time customer delivery. As the central point of control for rotable readiness, you will oversee inventory, coordinate internal and external repair flows, monitor component status, and maintain full transparency across the organisation. Working closely with Production Control, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering, you will play a critical part in driving operational stability, reducing shortages, and improving overall build readiness. This is a highly visible role within a complex, configuration-controlled environment, requiring strong analytical capability and excellent stakeholder management skills. Salary: £43K - £50K Main responsibilities: Manage end-to-end control of rotable components, including availability, condition oversight, repair routing, and allocation Maintain full visibility and tracking of components removed from assemblies (location, repair status, condition codes) Plan and allocate pool demand in line with assembly schedules, operational priorities, and customer commitments Coordinate internal repair sequencing and monitor turnaround performance to meet quality and delivery targets Identify risks to component availability and implement proactive recovery actions Maintain accurate data within SAP, Aspen, or relevant systems to ensure transparency of part movement and status Support operational routines such as build readiness meetings and shortage reviews with up-to-date reporting Produce dashboards and reports covering availability, repair progress, shortages, and KPIs Lead root cause analysis for recurring shortages or delays and implement corrective actions Contribute to long-term pool optimisation and inventory planning strategies Drive continuous improvement of rotable control processes across internal and external repair flows Ideal candidate profile: Candidates with relevant experience within an MRO or aerospace environment will be prioritised Experience in production control, material management, asset management, or MRO operations Strong understanding of repair processes, turnaround time management, and subcontract repair loops Familiarity with complex bill-of-materials and configuration-controlled assemblies Experience working within structured operational routines (daily stand-ups, shortage reviews, etc.) Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret availability and repair data SAP knowledge (particularly materials management and repair order processes) desirable Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or similar (preferred) Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills Excellent communicator, able to engage cross-functionally Proactive problem-solver focused on operational continuity Resilient and calm under pressure Happy to undertake occasional travel Holds unrestricted rights to live and work in the UK.
