This rewarding role involves supporting Early Years pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children at the start of their learning journey particularly those with additional emotional and behavioural needs in a calm and supportive setting. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to Early Years pupils Support children with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour Assist with learning activities in line with the EYFS framework Support pupils' communication, social development, and daily routines Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies Help create a safe, calm, and nurturing classroom environment Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals Essential Criteria Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent) Experience working with children with SEMH needs Strong understanding of Early Years development and the EYFS framework Calm, patient, and resilient approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Available to work part-time on a long-term basis
