Front End Developer Norwich
Full time, hybrid work
Development is just cool, right?
It goes from lines of code on a screen to an interactive piece, either on an application or on a website. We’ve come a long way from how we started (the author of this advert remembers websites from the 90s, oh boy!) and there is no field where making cool sh*t that functions well is more pressing and relevant than in e-Commerce.
We all think its gaming, and whilst they are indeed making some truly belter stuff (although we’re gonna leave out all the bugs in the latest Pokemon game)- but so do we, in a very different space with a totally different application.
It seems like a much smaller scale, yes, but think about how the world has changed. Ever since the dark age of 2020, retailers of all types have really wisened up to the need for an effective e-Commerce platform.
But most retailers, given how wide and diverse the sector is, don’t have the skills to make something that aligns with their brand, their vision, or that can make the journey for their customer the best experience they could want. Not to mention they don’t know how to make other systems talk to each other, they don’t know how to get out all the sexy lil bits of metadata to help inform long term decisions… so that’s why they work with us.
We’re Quickfire Digital - an Award-winning eCommerce focused development agency, specialising in Shopify builds. We’re a busy agency and with ambitious growth plans and a customer base that ranges from traditional retailers who require a complete management service through to some properly weird and wonderful businesses who want a seamless way to get people to buy their products.
We’re looking for two front-end developers to join our team. Our developers are very involved in discussing our projects and progress with clients, and whilst you can’t shake away from the fact that you, yes, will be building websites on Shopify, we are also diversifying into application development and a few other fun areas when the project is right for the studio.

Assisting the Development team with all aspects of software design and coding.
Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills
Writing and maintaining code
Responding to requests from the head of development and/or project management team to provide estimations and project milestone updates.
But in reality, as we’re recruiting two vacancies we could be hiring someone stepping from junior developer to mid-career, or someone stepping up into a senior developer role for the first time- so we’re casting a wide net here.
Knowledge of front-end coding languages including CSS, HTML, JavaScript is essential.
Knowledge and experience with Vue JS or React are highly desirable.
Shopify Liquid Experience would be great, but we are confident we can teach a competent front-end developer.
An understanding of PHP (yeah we know it’s more back end, it’s handy for migrations though!) Experience working on agency projects clearing backlog, picking up projects at different stages and managing to completion
A genuinely competitive salary for the Norfolk tech scene. Hybrid working (3 in office, 2 at home- but we can negotiate!)
The opportunity to travel, attend company events and get out visiting clients- adventures await!
Enhanced holiday entitlement.

A bustling social events calendar, and an office environment rammed with treats. Half-yearly salary reviews, with regular reward and incentives.
