Job Purpose
To provide high-quality care, safety, and early-years education for children, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing in line with EYFS standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning and play activities
* Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress
* Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development
* Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety policies are followed at all times
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
* Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and rest periods
* Promote inclusion, equality, and positive behaviour
Essential Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
* Knowledge of EYFS framework
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Passion for early-years childcare and development
Desirable
* Paediatric First Aid certification
* Previous nursery or childcare experience
* Safeguarding training
* Experience working with children with additional needs
Working Conditions
