Responsibilities
* Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
* Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
* Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
* Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries, which will involve manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets.
* Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.
Working Hours
This is a full‑time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday–Friday 08:00‑05:00 and alternate Saturdays 08:00‑12:00.
Requirements
* Prior industry experience would be advantageous.
* Face‑to‑face customer service is essential.
* Prior warehouse experience.
* Willingness to work as part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
* Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
* To be comfortable lifting heavy items.
