Clinical Radiology Support Worker - Band 2/Band 3
The post holders will provide effective support to Nursing Staff, Radiologists and Radiographers in all areas within Radiology. You will be required to assist in the care and supervision of patients and to deal with a multi‑disciplinary team and members of the public in a caring, pleasant and effective manner. There will be a commitment to flexible working to allow extended working days in the department. There will also be a requirement to work weekends. The candidate should have a commitment to multi‑disciplinary teamwork and good oral, written communication skills. Previous experience in direct patient contact is a requirement of this post. Evidence of commitment to ongoing personal development will need to be demonstrated.
Our service operates between 07:20 and 20:30, providing flexibility and work‑life balance through structured shift options:
* 4‑day week: 08:00 – 18:00
* 3‑day week: 07:30 – 20:30
* Includes 12.5‑hour shifts as part of the rota

Qualifications
* GCSE English at grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
* Care certificate
* First Aid certificate
* Basic life support
Experience
* Working experience in a hospital environment or health care or customer service environment
* Multi‑disciplinary Team
* Experience of recent direct patient care
* Experience within a Radiology Department
* Previous experience of reception work
* Effective time management
* Interventional Procedures Training
* Cannulation Training
* Basic Patient Monitoring
* CRIS knowledge and knowledge of radiology information systems
* Patient positioning for CT/MRI/US/X‑ray
* Entering patient x‑ray requests onto the electronic system
Specific Requirements
* Ability to liaise effectively with all professionals and non‑professionals
* Interest in working in the Radiology department
* Able to work flexibly as required
* Be able to easily commute between sites
