There is an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Buyer or Buyer to join a leading house builder in Warrington to work within a dynamic procurement department. You will be responsible for the following duties:

* Procurement of materials & plant for new build housing developments
* Placement and control of orders, ensuring commercial awareness
* Liaising with supply chain regarding product availability, cost control, invoices queries
* To prepare material schedules from contract drawings as required
* Management of 3-4 live developments along with procuring 1-2 site commencement

Experience / Qualifications Required:

* Experience of working as either a materials & pant Buyer or Assistant Buyer within the house building or construction sector
* Good IT skills and use of Excel & other procurement software.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and liaise with peers, supply chain and other departments within the business
* Academically qualified in a relevant domain, procurement, business administration etc
* Organised and methodical
