TOWN PLANNER - CONSULTANCY - HYBRID WORKING
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a renowned Planning Consultancy in their hire of a talented Town Planner!
The successful candidate will join the team in working on exciting nationwide projects in the Residential, Commercial, Retail, Mixed-use, Leisure, and Healthcare sectors. You will also have the opportunity to work on projects within strategic residential, town centre regeneration and large-scale commercial, retail, and industrial work!
Duties of the role will include:
* Undertaking regular community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations.
* Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development of potential of sites.
* Researching and designing planning policies to guide development.
* Writing high quality reports with recommendations.
* Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process.
* Attending site visits and client meetings.
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and ambitious Town Planners who are looking for an opportunity in which they can grow and develop both personally, and professionally! In order to be successful in this role, previous experience in preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries will be advantageous. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as strong report writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in Planning and will have either achieved RTPI chartership, or be committed to achieving it!
