Teacher of Music (KS3 & KS4)
Blackburn, Lancashire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Temporary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Blackburn, Lancashire from September 2026.
The Role
You will deliver engaging and creative Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging students to develop their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation of the subject. This is a full-time, temporary position, ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Teach KS3 and KS4 students of varying abilities
* Support students in both practical and theoretical aspects of Music
* Prepare pupils for GCSE Music where applicable
* Contribute to extracurricular activities such as performances, clubs, or productions
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialism in Music
* Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting (KS3/KS4 desirable)
* Strong classroom management skills
* Passionate about Music and supporting student development
* Gain valuable experience in a rewarding educational environment
