Class Teacher – Early Years & KS1 (SEN, SEMH & plex ASD) – September Start
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher with a strong understanding of Early Years and KS1 curriculum? Do you have the skills to support children with SEMH and plex ASD in a nurturing and inclusive environment?
We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join our broad-spectrum SEN school, which caters to children with a range of needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and plex autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This full-time role starts in September and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners.
About the Role:
1. Deliver engaging and differentiated Early Years and KS1 curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
2. Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that fosters development and confidence.
3. Use a range of teaching strategies to support communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation.
4. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.
5. Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
About You:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
2. Experience working with children with SEN, SEMH, and plex ASD.
3. Strong understanding of Early Years and KS1 curriculum and how to adapt it for diverse needs.
4. A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to teaching.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
6. Passionate about inclusive education and supporting children’s development.
