Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the primary phase in mainstream schools in Oldbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND TA looking to work in supportive and inclusive environments where every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEND, helping them to access the mainstream curriculum.
· Assist in differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of SEND students.
· Support students with behavioural or emotional difficulties by using positive reinforcement and tailored strategies.
· Monitor and record student progress, sharing information with the teacher to adjust learning plans as needed.
· Help with personal care and mobility for students where necessary.
· Encourage social inclusion and assist with peer relationships.
· Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENDCO, and other support staff.
Key Requirements:
· Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in a mainstream school environment.
· Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
· Strong understanding of SEND and how it affects learning and development.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with students with additional needs.
· A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
· A passion for education and helping students with SEND thrive in a mainstream classroom.
To be eligible for any job with Prospero Teaching, you must:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK.
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
· Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years.
