Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Furniture Remover to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient removal of furniture and other large items from properties, ensuring minimal damage and adherence to safety standards. Duties
* Safely load and unload furniture and large items using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and hand tools
* Driving 3.5 tonne vehicles
* Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of furniture as required
* Handle materials efficiently, ensuring items are moved without damage or injury
* Coordinate with team members to plan removal routes and schedules
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace during and after operations
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Support the loading of lorries or transport vehicles for delivery or disposal purposes
Skills
* Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments
* Mechanical knowledge related to furniture assembly/disassembly is advantageous
* Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and manoeuvring large items
* Ability to work efficiently in physically demanding situations with attention to safety standards
* Good organisational skills for coordinating loads, routes, and schedules
* Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues
