We believe we make a real difference to business owners, their teams, families and communities: they use our finance as a superpower either to seize opportunities for growth or move their business out from under the shadow of cashflow. It’s our mission to finance a million businesses and we won’t accept a world where they have to jump through unnecessary hoops and wait weeks, even months, for a decision. With iwoca businesses get the right finance with a few clicks, when and where they need it.
Since our launch in 2012, we have stayed true to our goals, and are now one of the biggest fintechs in Europe. Along the way, we have revolutionised lending with our cutting-edge tech platform, earned numerous industry awards, and made billions available to more than 100,000 businesses.
The role of the People Operations team is to develop and implement strategies that enable iwoca to attract, develop and retain the best talent, and ensure that iwoca strengthens our people and our culture as we grow. We’re progressive, innovative and looking to set new standards in People Operations, setting the example that other businesses will want to follow.
Our Talent team is currently a team of 4, we’re looking for a Senior Talent Partner for a one-year maternity cover. You’ll hire several non-technical senior roles across Operations, Sales, Team Germany, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Marketing. This would be a part-time role (ideally 3-4 days a week).
Day to day you will:
* Work with teams from across iwoca, to understand their recruitment needs and iron out the most effective and inclusive interview processes
* Develop clear role profiles, then use traditional and alternative channels to source great candidates and develop a strong pipeline.
* Develop tailored strategies for hiring across different roles and levels – e.g. roles such as Senior Legal Counsel, Head of Marketing and other senior vacancies.
* Manage two non-technical recruiters, you’ll play a strong part in developing their recruitment skills and be on hand to help them unlock the barriers they may be having with their roles.
* Manage every step of the recruitment process to ensure that all candidates have a great experience when they interview with iwoca - conducting interviews, coaching the hiring team on how to interview candidates, implementing SLAs (e.g. around time taken to provide feedback to candidates, time taken from application to offer, etc.)
* Develop salary recommendations (to be agreed upon with the hiring manager) and negotiate effectively to bring new hires on board
* Continuously look for ways to enhance the recruitment process, e.g. by gathering feedback from all candidates and researching techniques used by other firms to attract talent
* Promote iwoca and our employee value proposition among prospective candidates, and understand what matters to candidates in different roles and at different levels, to feed ideas for how to make iwoca’s employee value proposition highly attractive within the marketplace
We are looking for candidates with:-
* Experience in recruiting, particularly senior and C-level roles, ideally in-house. Previous experience hiring within the financial services industry would be desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to manage stakeholders from across the business, and shepherd candidates through the recruitment process in a way that is efficient, friendly, trusting and respectful
* Previous management experience, you’ll enjoy and see great satisfaction from nurturing and growing your direct reports' recruitment skills.
* Comfortable with numbers and able to draw insights from analytics to make our hiring process smarter and more efficient
* Highly organised – able to stay on top of the recruitment process for each candidate, manage SLAs
* Able to quickly understand candidates’ motivations and needs, as well as the needs of hiring managers
* Excellent negotiation skills – able to use what you learn about each candidate’s situation in order to craft the right pitch each time, that maximizes their likelihood of accepting (which doesn’t hinge entirely on remuneration package)
* Hungry to find the best possible talent – ambitious, driven, hard-working and uncompromising
* Able to spot ways of doing things better and willing to “test and learn” from new methods when it comes to sourcing candidates
