Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and autonomous National Oncology Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our dedicated cancer nursing team at GenesisCare UK. In this national role, you will provide expert clinical care to oncology patients across a variety of tumour groups and treatment pathways. With a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care across our Oxford and London centres, you will work closely with consultants, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to assess, manage, and support patients through their treatment journey. You will act as a senior clinical decision-maker, using your advanced assessment, diagnostic and prescribing skills to improve access, continuity and outcomes for cancer patients. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and contribute to the ongoing development of advanced oncology nursing practice at a national level. What You’ll Do: Deliver expert, person-centred care to oncology patients across all modalities Act as a Key Worker for a defined caseload, coordinating complex care pathways Prescribe and manage treatment-related complications (V300 required) Lead nurse-led clinics, undertake holistic needs assessments, and contribute to MDT discussions Drive service development, quality improvement, and the implementation of best practice across centres Act as a clinical role model and educator, supporting other nurses and the wider team What You’ll Have: Experience and Skills: Registered adult nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience, including at least 2 years in oncology or palliative care Previous experience as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist (desirable) Strong experience in managing complex cancer care across a range of tumour groups Excellent communication and decision-making skills Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience in service improvement, audit and/or research (desirable) Qualifications and Knowledge: MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or working towards V300 Independent Prescribing qualification (essential) First-level nursing degree and relevant post-registration oncology qualifications Advanced communication skills and psychological support training (or willingness to undertake) Teaching and assessing qualification (desirable) Additional Requirements: Ability to travel regularly between Oxford and London centres and occasionally to other GenesisCare sites across the UK Calm, empathetic, and confident under pressure, with a flexible and proactive approach Why Choose GenesisCare: At GenesisCare, we are passionate about improving life outcomes for cancer patients.
