We are looking to appoint one enthusiastic Band 7 clinical psychologist to work within Mental Health Services for Older People at North Tyneside General Hospital.
Responsibilities
 * Provide psychological / neuropsychological assessment, formulation and therapy for older people with mental health difficulties.
 * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and social workers.
 * Advise colleagues and carers on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care and treatment.
 * Provide clinical supervision to less experienced staff in accordance with service needs.
 * Utilise research skills for clinical audit and to inform service development.
Opportunities for Development
Post holders will be part of an expanding MHSOP psychology service, working closely with other professionals. The two new B7 posts will be split between inpatient and community parts of the service, allowing broad development opportunities within MHSOP. The post holder will work as a valued member of the multi‑disciplinary team, providing high quality individualised care.

 * Supervises and supports the clinical activities of assistants and trainees in CHP.
 * To role‑model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.
