SEN Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Oldbury, Birmingham Location: Oldbury, West MidlandsStart Date: November 2025Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only – Maternity CoverSalary: Dependant on experience,petitiveAbout the role:We are currently working with a weing and supportive Ofsted rated “Good” primary school in Oldbury who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact by supporting SEN children in Lower Key Stage 2 through targeted interventions on a and small group basis. SEN needs include moderate learning difficulties, behavioural support,munication, speech and language delays. No personal care required.Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering 1:1 and small group (up to 6 children) interventions across Year 3 and Year 4
2. Supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties, speech, language andmunication delays and behavioural needs/issues
3. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans
4. Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
5. Providing general classroom support when required
Requirements:
6. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required (UK Recognised)
7. Proven experience delivering intervention support in a primary school setting on a and small group basis
8. Strong understanding of SEND and effective behaviour management strategies and techniques
9. Confident working independently and as part of a team
10. A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning
11. Strong level of spoken and written English
12. Strong understanding of Maths/Numeracy
