Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Full GMC Registration
2. MRCPCH
3. Completed at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training, of which at least 2 years must be in paediatrics
Desirable criteria
4. MSc or Diploma in Child Health
Experience
Essential criteria
5. All round general experience in paediatrics Experience in running own independent out-patient clinics
Desirable criteria
6. Experience in Community Paediatrics, including preschool multidisciplinary assessments
7. Experience of a special school
8. Experience in enuresis/tics.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
9. Basic management skills. Good understanding of the structure and processes within the NHS including clinical governance.
10. An understanding of research methodology and critical appraisal.
11. Involvement in clinical governance.
12. Good organisational and time-management skills. Excellent IT skills.
Desirable criteria
13. Evidence of publications / presentations.
