Job Description:
This role is based in London at a global Investment & Trading company, hiring a graduate Business Analyst for their OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) Department, part of the Steel Business Unit. The department supplies tubular steel products to the energy industry across Europe and Africa, including UK, Norway, Denmark, Senegal, and Azerbaijan. The OCTG business operates in various energy sectors from Oil & Gas to Geothermal and is developing sustainable and digital supply chain solutions.
Main responsibilities include:
* Supporting the development and execution of global framework agreements with key energy customers.
* Resolving contract and business issues in collaboration with the Global Category Manager.
* Promoting Supply Chain Management (SCM) among customer units.
* Preparing for global price negotiations and strategic meetings with clients and steel mills.
* Implementing global contract strategies and supporting regional business growth.
* Identifying new value-added opportunities such as digitalization, standardization, and sustainability.
* Supporting business development through Energy Transition collaborations.
* Assisting in budget preparation and reporting.
* Supporting OCTG sales activities, including tendering and contract negotiations.
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations.
Ideal candidates should have:
* A degree in business or a technical field, or relevant experience.
* Experience in the energy industry, particularly Oil & Gas.
* Knowledge of procurement and logistics.
* Experience in international business.
* Understanding of QAQC, HSSE, Risk Management, and legal aspects.
* Attention to detail for effective contract management.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* Back-office skills in SAP, Excel, Word, and basic accounting.
