What This Job Involves As a Junior Quantity Surveyor at JLL, you'll be part of a dynamic team that embraces innovative ways of working and prioritizes opportunities to strengthen and advance your career. In this role, you'll assist in managing costs for construction projects, prepare estimates, work collaboratively with project teams to ensure financial success. What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like Assist in preparing cost estimates for infrastructure maintenance projects Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications Support the preparation of tender and contract documents Participate in site visits to monitor progress and assess variations Collaborate with project teams to analyse and report on cost data Assist in the preparation of interim and final accounts Contribute to value engineering exercises to optimize project costs Required Qualifications Strong analytical and mathematical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies Preferred Qualifications Working towards professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) Familiarity with infrastructure maintenance contracts and procurement methods Experience with cost estimating software Knowledge of sustainable construction practices Understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) At JLL, we embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritise opportunities to strengthen and advance your career within the UK and beyond.
