If you have a passion for influencing outcomes for children and families, come and join our innovative and forward-thinking 0-19 Service as a Family Health Worker (various hours available).Our staff led the way moving from the title of Community Nursery Nurse to this role to reflect the changing dynamic of our work with families across the city. Your role will be to assist in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, offering support and interventions to children and their families. You will be actively involved in seeking out health needs through detailed assessments, therefore you will need to have the skills and knowledge to identify and respond to these. Awareness of safeguarding issues is crucial alongside the ability to identify and appropriately respond to concerns. We work using a partnership approach with the multi-agency team and wider agencies therefore good verbal and non-verbal skills are essential in ensuring local health needs and priorities are addressed.Alongside 0-19 colleagues and partner agencies you will demonstrate effective team working and communication skills in supporting families through timely interventions, to understand key developmental milestones, promote healthy lifestyles and school readiness.
