Operations Coordinator

Alexander Steele is working with a leading manufacturing business that is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the smooth running of day-to-day logistics, warehousing, and site operations. This is a key role ensuring compliance, coordination of transport schedules, and efficient communication across departments.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate daily transport operations including driver scheduling
* Oversee inbound and outbound stock movements between production sites, third-party warehouses, and co-packers.
* Maintain accurate stock control, reconciliation between system and physical inventory, and container coordination.
* Manage administrative duties such as purchase orders, waste disposal, and facilities support.
* Support compliance requirements, ensuring all documentation and reporting are up to date.
* Liaise with production, quality, and planning teams to align inventory and order processes.
* Act as a site representative for Health & Safety, including Fire Warden and First Aider responsibilities (training provided).
Background Experience:
* Previous experience in operations, logistics, or transport coordination within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong knowledge of scheduling, and warehouse operations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Forklift licence desirable
